knighthooded[getting video calls from Dave is not an uncommon feature in Jade's life. and opening this one is usual. him and those stupid sunglasses perched on his head, the same background with awful posters and curtains drawn tight and that weird broken bird statue he's had since he was 13. it's all Dave, but in this one, he looks sleepy, still staring at the camera with half closed eyes before he yawns.]
Wait - shit, it connected.
[oh. he's awake now. clearing his throat, he straightens up.]
So, aside from the fact that I think my neighbor is going through something because that's definitely the fifth time they're going through The Beach Boys' Greatest Hits with the window open, I think today's alright. Aside from it being triple digits in temperature, which, it's July. Pretty much figure that's gonna happen.
[but, then his expression softens some. it's Jade. the girl that makes his heart do stupid things and who talks to him about science crap he can't begin to understand but that he wants to listen to because it makes her so happy. it's Jade Harley.]
